The purpose of the economic calculation is to identify the cost, benefits and payback period of measures aimed at reducing energy consumption and improving energy efficiency.

Developing an energy efficiency program is the process of creating a plan and strategy to improve the energy efficiency of an organization, building, or system. The goal of developing an energy efficiency program is to optimize energy performance and reduce energy consumption without compromising performance or user comfort.
